These photos were taken at 10 days old. His umbilical cord stump fell out at 11 days. Last night his mom and dad went on a double date with Uncle Scott & Aunt Michelle to the Melting Pot. He was a very well behaved baby!

Brendan's birthday story

Brendan decided he was ready to come into the world around 4 am on Thursday, June 18th, 2009. He started his mom's contractions and within a few hours his mom and dad arrived at the hospital. His mom's contractions were painful and 2-3 minutes apart for over 2 hours when they learned that she was dialated to 5-6 cm at Scottsdale Healthcare Osborn. Unfortunately for her, the hospital was extremely busy delivering babies and she could not get an epidural until she was 8-9 cm dialated later that morning. But when she did get one- wow was it ever amazing! The pain and discomfort of the strong contractions subsided and she was able to rest for a while.

Brendan's parents opted to wait for him to come into the birth canal on his own and for his mom to get to a full 10 cm before starting to push around 3 pm. Brendan's dad coached his mom while she pushed and pushed. They both burst into uncontrolled tears of joy as Dr. Hun

t caught him. Brendan Robert Camp was born at 4:35 pm on June 18th, 2009. He weighed 8 pounds, 11 ounces and was 21 inches long. The lighting in the room was dim and the mood was light and quiet for his birthday. Both mom and baby are happy and healthy. Brendan is a very healthy eater and was circumcised this morning.
