Brendan in Kindergaten

Brendan is having a great year in Kindergarten. He got a great teacher and loves going to school. His best friend from pre-school and sports also got placed in his class- which makes it even more enjoyable for him to go each day. He is reading like a rock star and has super sharp math and computation skills. I think his ability to add and subtract so quickly in his head comes from watching so many sporting events with his Dad on TV. He is a little Lions fan and really into watching football any chance he gets. This Halloween Brendan even trick or treated as a Lion's football player.

Our Kindergartner is super athletic and coordinated. He is a great baseball and soccer player and has been playing each season through the St Francis Xavier league since he was 3. All the adults watching him are impressed with his abilities especially at such a young age. He usually scores quite a bit. He practices his skills with our neighbor Payson every chance he gets- who is 5 years older than him. Both our boys enjoy playing outside.

Brendan is a fantastic older brother and big help around the house. He and Caleb play a lot and Brendan looks out for him. Around Thanksgiving Brendan wrote about what he was thankful for at school and he wrote that he was thankful for Caleb and for the sun.

We are very proud of our 5 year old who is now 3 ft. 10 inches tall and seems to be going through a growth spurt. He is eating a meal then asking for another right after. Brendan has a sweet tooth and enjoys anything he can get his hands on. He is the best sleeper. We put him to bed and he goes right to sleep and sleeps really soundly too through any noise in the house.

For Christmas we wrote letters to Santa and mailed them to the North Pole. Brendan asked for 1. Football guys, 2. Bird toys, and 3. Scare cards from Monster's University.

I can't express what an incredible little boy he have been blessed with. He is smart, funny, and thoughtful. He is growing up fast and we are enjoying every minute.
